My work begins in stillness.Time spent in the forests and along the water shapes everything I paint. These places are not empty.

For me they are full of subtle movement, quiet energy, and presence.Through oil painting, I explore that space between what is seen and what is felt.

Each piece is an attempt to capture something fleeting. A moment of calm, a shift in light, or the quiet weight of the natural world.

This is a painting depicting a scene from a trail beside my house. This is an area that has a wolf pack roaming through it and I will often find bones from their hunting.
My work involves visiting local First Nations for wellness and health support. On the drive there you pass by a pond. During the summer months you will see loon parents and their chicks here.
With this painting I was depicting a tree that you can't exactly tell what season it is. You see the white of snow, the colours of autumn, and the blue greens of summer.
